Bitcoin (symbol: code: BTC, XBT) is the first cryptocurrency (digital asset) created in 2009 by an unknown programmer or group of programmers that uses the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto, works with protocol and peer to network peer (P2P) and is used as a means of payment, transaction, data storage and investment. Its network is also used as a platform for other digital assets.
It is based on blockchain technology, similar to a large ledger, public and distributed, which reflects the history of all transactions.
