Authy (2 Factor Authentication system) has different verification and security processes, so it is important to take into account any change that is generated from the personal data entered into the platform at the time of registration and verification.
- If the user's phone number was changed on the device where Authy is installed, it will continue to recognize it until the equipment is “reset”, from that moment on Authy will not recognize the new equipment number as it is different from the one registered in OBSIDIAM, therefore it stops generating the code.
- In many countries the operators “recycle” the phone numbers that are no longer in use, it is likely that if the phone number was changed and the device where the AUTHY is never restarted, it can continue to be used, however, if any new user of Authy is register with your old number the system will automatically block this in your new equipment. If this happens, you must contact OBSIDIAM Help to restart the account connection with Authy.
To avoid both cases, it is recommended to keep the data updated on the platform.
